Thanks, Malacath. SOE seems to forget that much of their playerbase are old fogies like me who look on their forum for issues and not Twitter / Facebook / Reddit. Naturally, the forum has the issue buried under Tech Support. They'll get around to posting a big alert on the main forum page sooner or later (that is: later).
