I don't like using smileys but I don't mind seeing others use them.

It is possible to have the Disable smilies in text check box checked by default for everyone, which would make me happy but I think too many would object.

Unfortunately, there is no way I know of to give each person the option on that.

I like smileys to an extent. Belonged to a forum that had pages of smiley's. They were custom built. Really cool. My favorite for general use is one that pokes someone... We did a lot of debating of issues.
