Getting Into Game When EverQuest Login Down

Running the new patcher gets the following:

*Error: Package load failed or was cancelled (Network error during NPAPI download blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda


The SOE forums are also down.

So, yes, it isn't you. :)

In addition, the Internet Traffic Report (http://www.internettrafficreport.com/) shows North America as not doing very well at all.

Avg. Response Time: 269
Avg. Packet Loss: 25 %
Total Routers: 37
Network up: 56 %

So this could be a internet problem.

Also California (Anaheim) is reporting as being completely down.

I initially had a problem about 20-30 minutes ago. But now I got to the new launcher screen. So hopefully they got the problem fixed.

TO GET IN TO PLAY WHILE THIS PROBLEM IS HAPPENING:

Go to your EverQuest folder.

Find the file "eqgame.exe"

Make a short cut to desktop for it.

Right click the short cut and choose Properties.

Change the Target to: C:\whatever is here leave alone \ whatever is here leave alone \eqgame.exe patchme

In other words, leave the Target exactly how it was, just add patchme to the end.

NOTE: If the Target is in quotation marks you need to add the patchme after them. For example:

"C:\whatever is here leave alone \ whatever is here leave alone \eqgame.exe" patchme


Remember to only use this for now. Don't use it after SOE fixes the problem. Because you need to have an up to date patched EQ to play after they patch.

I got Harli in although I had to use TeamViewer to show him to put patchme after the quotation marks.
